Yesterday a somewhat depleted BWP group met at the Dacre Rooms. Nevertheless, some useful work was done:
The fence between the Dacre Rooms and the docs was repaired. A replacement arris rail was fitted and a number of palings replaced (see the photo on the BWP webpage. Supplies for the repair were obtained at no cost (I like it) from an abandoned fence panel found after zooming to Parkfield car park where it had been dumped. The side alley was weeded, the farmers market signs ,for Friday, were erected. The new cupboard upstairs, created by Les a month or so ago, was found to have some damp, so the intended shelving was not installed. Instead the contents of the cupboard were re-located and the cupboard allowed to ventilate. The source of the water ingress was sought and some external work will need to be done at a later date. The unwanted pallets were removed from behind the Rooms. In addition the correct way to vote at the general election was not established at coffee time. Thanks to John M, Les, Pete, David P, David S, Bob M for the work and Geoff, Paul and Ray for the company at coffee, and to Sue and Neil for the loan of the ladder.
